different layouts for different pages

Hello,

Similar questions have been asked but I can't find an appropriate answer.

The thing is that I know several layouts can be modified or created from the Template Manager pages.
But then, how can I say for example, the "home" article will use the "home-1" layout and the "about" article will use "default-content-left".

I could not find how to achieve it under the Template Manager, or the Article edition or the Menu edition.
