compile LESS from command line

Hi,

I plan on using the T3 framework to develop several templates. However, I'm having an issue with how long it takes to compile less files using the built-in LESS to CSS function.

Can anyone give me instructions on how to compile LESS using lessc from the command line?

I need to know where is the root file (or files) that includes the files from less/, less/themes/*/, local/less, etc.
