How to create a simple menu?

I have a menu in my footer that I want to display as a simple style menu with none of the nav navbar-nav css styles attached so I can style it as a standard footer menu. Please check out:

It is the menu in the black gradient areas. How can I remove the styling from the footer menu so it is not displayed as shown and display more like the attached screenshot.
