Purity iii Positions Not Showing

Hi,

I'm trying to layout my site with Purity iii and assign modules to the positions that are listed in the Template Manager. However, when using the Module Manager to assign things, many of the Positions listed are not appearing. One example is the Masthead position. Any idea how to make these appear?
