Problems update

I have the T3 framework for my template and cannot upgrade to the latest version. 2.4.9
My error message reads:

"Error

Invalid extension update"

And i also need a SEO (Search Engine Optimization / Suchmaschinenoptimierung) plugin. Which SEO plugin is the best?
