Login form issues

Using the current J32 quickstart, the login form is giving me troubles. I have tried Firefox 27, Chrome 33 and IE 9. Some times when I type the first character the login form disappears. Other times when I start to type and then select an autocomplete value it disappears. Some times the menu opens on the lefthand side of the screen.

I haven't changed anything from the stock quickstart.

Any ideas? This is not useful to me in its current form.
